The school instrumental program that involves almost 200 students has performed well in Eisteddfod competitions for many years. Performances receive high acclaim - a tribute to the commitment of expert staff. The quartet frequently plays to national and international conferences, whilst the extensive choral program is supported by experienced vocal coaches, including opera. School choirs have earned an excellent reputation through community performances and a history of competition success, whilst musical productions at the Gold Coast Arts Centre have for many years combined both performance and production opportunities for talented musicians, dancers and drama students. British pop idol Peter Andre is a product of the Arts Benowa program. Visual Arts students have and continue to produce work of a standard that is formally recognised by the Queensland Minister's Awards for Art.
